Rose Bygrave

As part of our commitment to capturing and sharing great Australian music stories, the Australian Music Vault asked some of the country’s most influential trailblazers and unsung heroes to open up about their lives in music.

Rose Bygrave is a singer, songwriter and producer best known for her work with the band Goanna and for her commitment to using music to promote social justice and Indigenous rights.

In this interview, Rose discusses the impact of growing up surrounded by music, family and community; her life on the road with Goanna promoting the ground-breaking album Spirit of Place; and what it was like to work alongside artists such as Wendy Saddington, Bart Willoughby and Yothu Yindi.
