What is the AMV Mixtape card?
The AMV Mixtape card lets you curate your personalised AMV Spotify playlist as you explore the objects within the Australian Music Vault. Simply tap your AMV Mixtape card wherever you see the Spotify icon to collect songs associated with the exhibition’s objects. After your visit, you will receive an email with a link to your AMV Spotify playlist – a memento of your journey through Australia’s contemporary music history.
What is Spotify?
Spotify is a world-wide music streaming service that allows you to enjoy millions of tracks on your phone, your computer, your tablet and more. Spotify has partnered with the Australian Music Vault to bring the AMV Mixtape to life.
What if I don’t have a Spotify account?
New to Spotify? Don’t worry, it’s easy to subscribe or sign up for a free account. Simply click on the email link to your AMV Spotify playlist and you will be prompted to register as a new user or, if you’re already a Spotify user, to log into your existing account.
Where can I get my AMV Mixtape card?
The AMV Mixtape card is currently available for free at one of our Mixtape vending machines just inside the exhibition entrance or visit one of our friendly Welcome Team members.
What happens to my AMV Mixtape card after my visit?
The AMV Mixtape card is yours to keep and reuse every time you visit the Australian Music Vault. As the exhibition evolves, new songs will be made available – so make sure you bring your AMV Mixtape card each time you visit to keep your playlist evolving too.
I didn’t receive my email link to my Spotify playlist – who do I contact?
If for any reason you do not receive an email with a link to your AMV Spotify playlist, please contact us at feedback@artscentremelbourne.com.au for help – but make sure you check your junk email folder first.
I’m having trouble creating or accessing my Spotify account – who do I contact?
If you have received your email link, but are having any trouble signing up for or logging into a Spotify account, please refer to Spotify’s support page: https://support.spotify.com/au/ or contact @spotifycares on Facebook.
